Hello Lt. Day.

 

Thank you again for taking the time to speak with me this morning.  As we talked about, if you would be able to send me the statistics of incidents reported for 230 Dexter Street since Westfield Lofts opened 12/2005, that would be helpful.  I recognize that these numbers may not be completely accurate as some tenants may have chosen not to report events.  In addition, it is very positive  and greatly appreciated to hear that you have offered the property management company in the past to meet with the tenants. 

 

We will be meeting on August 20th at 6:30p in the D Building over at 230 Dexter.  Any amount of time that you can give us out of your busy schedule would be most appreciated.  If you have some handouts on safety measures that all tenants can take, that would be great.  I would be happy to post any handouts  to our community blog that you have if they are in either WORD or EXCEL format.

Great News from Lt. Day- Providence Police Department

Hi Everyone.

Lt. Mary Day will be joining us at our next Tenants meeting on August 20th. She will be bringing some of her staff as well. In addition, Lt. Day was saying in her voicemail that she has instructed her 3rd shift staff to pay closer attention to the parking lot and illegal activities.

Hi Thea.  Thanks for following up on this.  We appreciate it.  We mentioned at our tenants meeting the next meeting that you have scheduled on the 21st.  In addition, it is in the calendar for those who are interested.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

The owner was not in but we spoke to the nephew, who I guess is the store manager.  We told him about working with him to handle the issues that was brought up at the meeting.  He said the owner was trying to handle the trash situation by putting the trash can out.  I told him, we would like to brainstorm how we can work together.  He told us to come on Monday.  I went on Monday, the owner was not in.  I spoke to the nephew again, he said he talked to the owner and the owner will give me a call (he has my card) because he wants to work with us.

Hi Thea.  You are correct that you were not at the meeting.  For clarity, Geoff was suggesting as we had discussed at our meet a week ago this past Tuesday that you had mentioned that some liquor stores have security guards outside their stores and that this may be a way to go for the liquor store.  Sorry for any confusion.  By the way, how did your meeting go with the liquor store owner last Friday?  Thanks for the feedback too.

I was on the blog and saw this comment "GB Perhaps utilize liquor store to hire security as with other local liquor stores as suggested by Thea at WEHA".  I think you should remove this because one I was not at the meeting and it reads as if was and I did not say this.  Thanks.  It reads like you had a great meeting, a lot of great ideas.  Let me know how you would like us to participate.

Fire this morning 08/05/07

Hi Everyone. While walking to my car, we were able to smell something burning. As you can see, the mulch was on fire again. Someone either put it out themselves or called the fire department. One topic for the agenda is for First Realty to be proactive with the safty of all during these hot days. The weather reports have been clear that the forecast was showing hot days. Would be great if First Realty would have all of the mulch wet down to avoid any risks of fire.

Any thoughts?

Meeting Attendance

Hi Everyone.  I am trying to do some planning for our next meeting, but am not sure who is planning on attending.  Yvette, I know that you responded, but have not heard from anyone else.  If you have not responded and have the ability to accept the calendar initiation, would you please do so and send me the reply?  If you do not have that capability, would you please send me an email indicating your plans?  Also, if you know of others who had not attended the last meeting, would you please pass the message along and ask them to send an email to this address indicating their availability?

 

Finally, I am in the process of writing an agenda, if there is something that you feel the group needs to discuss, would you please email that as well?

Why does this take so long??


Hi Everyone.


As you can see, there is a sign that has been up at the elevator since around 1p. It is now 5:25p and the elevator is still out of service. Why does it take so long for the elevator to get cleaned? The elevator is a necessary method of moving people up and down each floor of the building. How would someone in a wheelchair access the floor needed?

Hi Everyone.  I have noticed that since the end of July, that parking has been more ample for us here.  More specifically, later in the evening, when folks are trying to get home and get settled in.  Plenty of room.  I think this is terrific that FRM has been working on this.  I believe that this is through a collective effort.  Unfortunately, there have been some folks who have had their cars towed since the 1st of August.  Brian and Melissa (on Saturdays) are working to address this issue.

Meeting attendance and Follow Up

Hi Everyone. Brian was telling me via voicemail today that Kathy Goshtigian will be at our next meeting. Brian will also be calling Lt. Mary Day to invite her to our meeting as well. By the way, Lt. Day finally returned my call today, but I missed her call. We are playing phone tag and I will extend the invite to her as well for the next meeting. If anyone is interested in a typed version of the meeting minutes from June 30th, please let me know.

Video Surveilance Follow Up

Hi Everyone. I received a call from Brian Schlitzer today and they will be starting on the installation this coming Tuesday, August 6th and will be here for a few days working on the installation.
