membership updates

Hi Everyone. I have received a few responses already from tenants who are interested in forming a collective voice. Although there are 5 people already committed via email to me, there are an additional 3 or 4 others who were speaking with me yesterday who have expressed interest. Anyone who sends an email to the westfieldloftstenants@gmail.com will be kept confidential unless otherwise noted.

Looking forward to hearing from you and looking forward to scheduling our first meeting very soon.

Hello,

I am quite alarmed to hear of yet another break in. I have lived here for 4 months now and I don't feel safe as a woman walking around the parking lot after say 8pm. Are they waiting for something more ALARMING to happen? A Carjacking? An Assault? Perhaps we should have known better before moving in here some might say. However, we were assured that it was perfectly safe and that these cameras would record any activity if something were to happen. Well I'm THIS CLOSE to getting a lawyer and filing suit to get out of my lease at this point. Anything to sign on the dotted line, we are outraged. We live in a lovely building that is falling prey to a neighborhood that is still very much in development, the amount of rent we pay at this point simply does not reflect an appropriate level of security to protect our investments that are not given to us but are earned with hard work. Is this the price of living in a loft community? Is it worth it if this company does not take immediate action, I DON'T THINK SO. ..ALSO something needs to be done about the constant loud music and fireworks disrupting the neighborhood coming from the grey 3 story house across the parking lot. They are constantly taking up our parking spots in the back lot and continually keep me up. Thank you I'm glad this site is available to voice concerns hopefully this will make a difference in the way we are being treated. Thank you, BUILDING D Tenant.

Dear Anonymous Building D Tenant. I am very sorry that you are feeling this fear. One way that we can remedy this on the short term is for you to call one of your neighbors such as Geoff or Me if you need someone to walk with you at 8pm at night. Call 617-785-7177 or 774-249-4003. Both are cell numbers. I would like for you to email me at the address listed on the posting that was put on the bulletin board in the D building. We certainly can use your support.

Hello All. I am in the process of obtaining information from Brian as to how to go about using the conference room adjacent to the office for us to meet. I have asked Brian to forward to me the rules and rental fee. I would like to schedule a meeting for us to meet very soon. I will schedule to the meeting to be during the work week if at all possible. I will keep you posted.
